FAQ

Do Thai passport holders need a visa for the Philippines?
No — ASEAN visa-free 30 days for tourism, extendable to 36 mo in-country at Bureau of Immigration (BI) offices. Long-stay work/retirement/investor visas are issued by the Philippine Embassy Bangkok or via BI conversion after arrival.
9(g) Pre-Arranged Employment Visa (the standard work visa)?
Employer-sponsored, requires DOLE AEP (Alien Employment Permit) first, then BI 9(g) endorsement. Valid 1–3 yr, unlimited entries, dependants under 9(g) derivative. AEP: 30 d + PHP 9,000. 9(g): 60 d + PHP 9,180. Position must not be in DOLE's negative list.
SIRV vs SRRV — which retirement/investor route?
SIRV (Special Investor's Resident Visa): USD 75K equity investment in BOI-registered enterprise, permanent multi-entry. SRRV (Special Resident Retiree's Visa): 5 flavours — SRRV Smile (35+, USD 20K deposit) / Classic (50+, USD 10K–50K) / Human Touch / Courtesy / Expanded Courtesy. Both allow dependants, no age limit for SIRV.
13(a) permanent resident spouse visa?
For spouse of Filipino citizen — 1 yr probationary → 13(a) permanent. Requires marriage cert (Thai + PSA-registered), CENOMAR, joint interview at Embassy Bangkok. Allows work without AEP after 13(a) issued.
Timeline & fees?
9(a) tourist ext: 3 d at BI. 9(g): 30–60 d after AEP. SRRV: 30–45 d via PRA. Our service: THB 8,500 (tourist ext coordination), THB 32,000 (9(g) + AEP full cycle), THB 55,000 (SRRV Smile including PRA + deposit).
Common issues — 'BI blacklist' and overstay fines?
Overstaying triggers BI Order of Deportation + 5-yr blacklist. Fines: PHP 500/mo + PHP 2,050 motion fee + PHP 10K ECC (Emigration Clearance). We handle lifting blacklists via Motion for Reconsideration if within 30 d.
