Q1085. Can I authorize an agency to submit foreign documents at the Chaeng Watthana office on my behalf?

Answered by the NYC Visa & Translation legalization desk
A representative may be able to submit your foreign documents at Chaeng Watthana, subject to the Department of Consular Affairs’ current authorization requirements. Confirm whether your document category permits representative submission and obtain the required authorization form or Power of Attorney instructions. Prepare the requested identity copies, your signed authorization, the representative’s identification, and the properly authenticated documents and translations. Ask whether the authorization should also cover payment, corrections, and collection, and retain copies of the complete package. A common pitfall is authorizing submission only when the agency will also need to collect the legalized documents. Verify representative-submission requirements with the Department of Consular Affairs before filing.
