FAQ
- MFA legalization vs. Apostille — which one do I need?
- Thailand joined the Apostille Convention (effective 14 Dec 2025). Documents used in the 125+ Apostille member states now need only a single Apostille stamp from the Department of Consular Affairs. Non-member states (e.g. Canada, China mainland, UAE) still require the two-step MFA + destination embassy legalization.
- How long does MFA legalization take?
- Normal service: 3 working days (THB 200/document, THB 400/page for foreign-language docs). Express: same-day (THB 400/document). Walk-in cap at Chaengwattana / Regional MFA offices ~150/day — we hold priority queue slots.
- Can you handle embassy legalization after MFA?
- Yes. We run the full chain: notary → MFA → destination embassy (China, Vietnam, Saudi, UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Egypt, Iran, Pakistan, etc.). Turnaround 5–15 working days depending on embassy.
- Rates?
- MFA legalization (normal) THB 800/doc all-in (incl. gov fee + delivery). Express THB 1,400/doc. Apostille THB 900/doc. Embassy legalization THB 2,500–8,500/doc + gov fees. Volume discount from 10 docs.
