What is the DTV?
Destination Thailand Visa — a 5-year multi-entry Thai visa in effect since 15 July 2024 for remote workers and soft-power participants (Muay Thai, Thai cooking, medical treatment, meditation, etc.). Stay 180 days per entry, extendable once for another 180 days.
Minimum funds required?
THB 500,000 held for 6 months (foreign or Thai account) or an equivalent sponsor letter.
Government fee?
THB 10,000 per application (service fee not included).
Can I work for a Thai company on a DTV?
No — DTV explicitly forbids employment inside Thailand. You need Non-B + Work Permit for that.
