FAQ

Do Thai passport holders need a visa for Israel?
For tourism up to 90 days — no, Thailand–Israel signed a visa-exemption agreement effective since 2000. However Israeli border control (Passport Control at Ben Gurion) grants stay at discretion; refusals happen (past visits to Iran/Lebanon/Syria are red flags). B/2 tourist stamp is issued on arrival — request a paper slip instead of a passport stamp if you plan to visit Arab countries later.
Work visa (B/1)?
Employer files with PIBA (Population and Immigration Authority) — permit types: B/1 Expert (foreign specialist, salary ≥ 2× average wage ~ ILS 24,000/mo), B/1 Foreign Worker (agriculture, construction, caregiving quotas), and A/3 Clergy. B/1 Expert issued for 1 yr, renewable up to 5 yr 3 mo; then must exit for 12 months. Thailand–Israel Bilateral Agreement (TIC) is the main agricultural worker channel.
Student visa (A/2)?
Israeli university acceptance (Hebrew University, Tel Aviv, Technion, Weizmann) → A/2 student visa at Israeli Embassy Bangkok (Ratchadaphisek). Valid 1 yr renewable per academic year. MASA Israel programs (gap year, internships) also use A/2. Documents: acceptance, bank proof (~ USD 12,000/yr), health insurance, transcripts + degree (MOFA + Israeli Embassy attested).
Aliyah / Law of Return?
Reserved for Jewish descent (self, parent or grandparent) + spouses. Nefesh B'Nefesh / Jewish Agency handle. Not applicable to non-Jewish Thai nationals unless spouse of Jewish partner (B/1 spouse visa → gradual A/5 → citizenship in 4.5 yr under staged procedure).
Marriage & partner visa?
Spouse of Israeli citizen: B/1 (1 yr) → A/5 temporary residence → citizenship after 4.5 yr under Interior Ministry graduated process. Same-sex partners recognized. Marriage must be registered abroad (Israel has no civil marriage) — commonly Cyprus or via Utah Zoom, then Israeli MOI registers.
Timeline & our service?
Tourist: no visa needed (visa-free 90d). Student A/2: 4–8 weeks. B/1 Expert: 8–14 weeks with PIBA. Agricultural TIC: 3–6 mo cycle. Our service THB 5,500 (student A/2) to THB 65,000 (B/1 Expert + document legalization at Israeli Embassy Bangkok + MOFA).
