VAT Registration & Monthly PP.30 Filing
A business must apply for VAT registration on form PP.01 within 30 days of the day its annual taxable turnover exceeds THB 1.8 million, under section 85/1 of the Revenue Code. The statutory rate is 10 percent, reduced to 7 percent by royal decree renewed periodically. A registrant issues tax invoices under section 86, keeps input and output VAT reports, and files PP.30 by the 15th of the following month under section 83 even in nil months. Certain input tax is non-creditable under section 82/5, notably entertainment expenses and passenger cars of not more than ten seats.
Updated August 2026 and based on the Revenue Code and related legislation. Rates and e-Filing extensions change — verify with the Revenue Department (rd.go.th) before acting.
