Q1017. How can I verify if a translator in Thailand is genuinely NAATI certified?

Answered by NAATI Certified Practitioner · NYC Visa & Translation
You can check a translator’s claimed NAATI certification through NAATI’s official online credential verification tools and practitioner directory. Ask for the individual translator’s full name, practitioner number and credential details—not simply an agency logo or a sample stamp. Confirm that the credential covers translation, the relevant Thai–English language direction and the appropriate credential status. A NAATI interpreting credential or Credentialed Community Language test result is not the same as translator certification. Before paying, ask who will translate and certify your documents and whether their identifying details will appear on the finished translation. If the verification result is unclear, seek clarification directly from NAATI rather than relying on advertising claims.
