A translator may correct their own name-spelling error without an extra charge, but this is not automatic and does not cover changing an error in the original Thai document. Provide your passport spelling before translation, together with any relevant name-change certificate or established English spelling on official records. If the translation contains a typo despite those instructions, ask the provider to issue a corrected certified version under its revision policy. Where the Thai source itself contains the wrong name, the translator cannot silently rewrite the evidence; clarification or a translator’s note may be appropriate. You may need to obtain a corrected original from the issuing authority. Confirm charges before authorising changes or supplying replacement documents.
