A NAATI translation is not automatically required for every Thai Certificate of No Impediment to Marriage; the rule depends on where and how you will use it. For marriage in Australia, ask your authorised marriage celebrant or relevant state or territory registry what English translation and supporting evidence they accept. For an Australian visa application, follow the Department of Home Affairs requirements for documents translated inside or outside Australia. If the certificate is for another country, confirm requirements with that country's embassy or marriage authority. Translation, certification of copies, and legalisation are separate procedures.
