A NAATI translation may be needed for a Thai personal accident insurance policy, but it is not automatically required for every Australian use. Ask the insurer, claims assessor or receiving authority whether it needs a certified translation, the entire policy or specified sections. Provide the policy schedule, insured person’s details, benefits table, exclusions, endorsements and relevant claims correspondence. Translating only the coverage summary can leave out conditions that affect how the policy is understood. Keep policy numbers, coverage dates, currencies and benefit limits exactly traceable to the Thai original. Personal accident cover should not be described as comprehensive health insurance. For visa-related evidence, confirm the applicable insurance requirements directly with the Department of Home Affairs.
