All 17 visa categories we file from Thailand

Which visa type do I need?
It depends on why you are travelling: tourism, study, work, joining a spouse or family, business or transit. Pick your purpose below to see how that visa category works across destinations and which documents are usually asked for. Each country sets its own rules, so confirm them on the official embassy site before you apply.
Quick answer
Visas are classified by the purpose of travel, not only by length of stay. Pick the category that matches what you will actually do at the destination, then build the file that category requires. This page lists every category we handle (17) across 159 destinations, for applicants in all 77 Thai provinces. Open a category to see the countries that genuinely accept it, the documents and the timeline.
Choose a category
Tourist visa
วีซ่าท่องเที่ยว
A the destination tourist visa covers short private travel — holidays, sightseeing, events and short family visits. Assessment centres on three things: proof of funds, proof that you will return to Thailand, and an itinerary that matches the dates you request.
159 destinations · on a timeline we confirm after reviewing the documents depending on the mission and the season
Student visa
วีซ่านักเรียน
A the destination student visa is issued once an accredited institution has admitted you. The file combines the admission letter, proof that tuition and living costs are covered, and academic records translated and certified to the standard the institution and the mission accept.
159 destinations · Typically 3–8 weeks; priority services exist at some missions
Work visa
วีซ่าทำงาน
A the destination work visa follows an employer. In most systems the employer or a sponsoring body obtains a permit or certificate first, then you file the visa with the job offer, qualification evidence and, frequently, a criminal-record certificate translated and legalised.
159 destinations · Typically 4–12 weeks, driven mostly by the employer-side permit
Business visa
วีซ่าธุรกิจ
A the destination business visa covers short commercial travel — meetings, negotiations, trade fairs, audits and training — without taking up local employment. The invitation letter from the host company is the decisive document.

Family / dependant visa
วีซ่าครอบครัว
A the destination family visa joins a spouse, parent or child who is already lawfully resident there. The file proves the relationship, the sponsor's status and income, and suitable accommodation — in that order of importance.
159 destinations · Typically 1–6 months depending on the route and the mission
Family visit visa
วีซ่าเยี่ยมญาติ
A the destination family visit visa is for short stays with relatives or friends who live there. The inviting side carries most of the file: invitation letter, accommodation and proof of income.
159 destinations · on a timeline we confirm after reviewing the documents
Transit visa
วีซ่าเปลี่ยนเครื่อง
Some travellers are denied boarding because they did not hold a the destination transit visa, even when they never intended to leave the airport. Whether one is needed depends on the terminal, the airline and whether you must collect and re-check baggage.
159 destinations · on a timeline we confirm after reviewing the documents where a visa is required
Medical treatment visa
วีซ่ารักษาพยาบาล
A the destination medical visa is issued when a recognised hospital there has accepted you for treatment. The file combines the referral from the Thai physician, the appointment letter from the receiving hospital, and evidence that the treatment and the stay are funded.
159 destinations · Typically 2–6 weeks; urgent handling is possible at several missions
Working holiday visa
วีซ่าทำงานและท่องเที่ยว
The the destination working holiday scheme lets young Thai nationals travel and work casually for a limited period under a bilateral arrangement. Places are capped and the age window is strict.
11 destinations · Typically 4–10 weeks, quota dependent
Digital nomad / remote work visa
วีซ่าดิจิทัลโนแมด
the destination offers a remote-work residence route for people employed or contracted outside the country. Approval turns on documented, recurring foreign income at or above the published threshold.
35 destinations · Typically 3–10 weeks depending on the country
Spouse / settlement visa
วีซ่าติดตามคู่สมรส
A the destination spouse visa leads to residence with a partner who is a citizen or a settled resident. It is documentation-heavy: a genuine and subsisting relationship, income at the published level, and suitable accommodation.
159 destinations · Typically 2–6 months
Fiancé(e) visa
วีซ่าคู่หมั้น
A the destination fiancé(e) visa permits entry to marry within a fixed period, after which you switch to a spouse permission. Both parties must be free to marry and must evidence that they have met in person.
13 destinations · Typically 2–6 months
Retirement / long-stay visa
วีซ่าเกษียณอายุ
the destination operates a long-stay route for retirees funded by pension or passive income. The conditions are an age minimum, recurring income or a deposit at the published level, and private health cover.
22 destinations · Typically 1–4 months
Investor / golden visa
วีซ่านักลงทุน
the destination grants residence in exchange for a qualifying investment — real estate, a government fund, a business or job creation. The critical part of the file is source-of-funds evidence that a compliance officer can follow end to end.
30 destinations · Typically 3–12 months including due diligence
Pilgrimage visa
วีซ่าแสวงบุญ
A the destination pilgrimage visa is issued for religious travel, often only through licensed operators and within a defined season. Quotas, vaccination requirements and group registration apply.
14 destinations · Season dependent; file as soon as the operator confirms the booking
Crew / seafarer visa
วีซ่าลูกเรือและคนประจำเรือ
A the destination crew visa lets a seafarer or air crew member join or leave a vessel or aircraft. The file is built on the employer's letter of guarantee, the seaman's book and the joining instructions.

Multiple-entry Schengen visa
วีซ่าเชงเก้นแบบเข้าออกหลายครั้ง
A multiple-entry Schengen visa filed through the destination allows repeated trips within the 90-days-in-180 rule. Longer validity is granted on the strength of a documented history of lawful previous use.

Frequently asked questions
What happens if I apply under the wrong visa category?
Filing under the wrong category is a frequent refusal reason, because the evidence you submit will not match the purpose stated on the form. We assess the purpose of travel, the length of stay and the activities planned, then map them to the category published by the destination authority before any paperwork is prepared.
Are the documents the same for one category across every country?
The core is similar — passport, photos to specification, proof of funds, proof of ties to Thailand — but the details differ by system. Schengen states require travel insurance with a minimum cover; some destinations require documents legalised by the Thai Department of Consular Affairs. The binding list is always the one published by the embassy or the official portal.
Do you serve applicants outside Bangkok?
Yes. All 77 Thai provinces are covered from the Bangkok head office and the Khon Kaen branch and agents in all 77 provinces. Preparation, translation, certification, form filling and appointment booking run online; documents travel by tracked courier. You attend in person only where the visa centre requires biometrics or an interview.
Can you guarantee approval?
No. The decision belongs to the embassy or immigration authority of the destination country. We prepare a complete, consistent file and flag the risks before filing — nobody can promise an outcome.
