Frequently Asked Questions
- What is document legalization?
- Legalization is the official process that makes a document issued in Thailand legally recognized in a foreign country. It involves Notary certification, Ministry of Foreign Affairs authentication, and — for non-Hague countries — the destination country's embassy.
- Apostille vs Embassy legalization — which do I need?
- Since 2 November 2024 Thailand joined the Hague Apostille Convention. For the 125+ member states, a single MFA Apostille replaces the embassy step. Countries outside the convention still require the classic Notary → MFA → Embassy chain.
- How long does the full process take?
- Apostille chain: 5-8 business days. Consular (embassy) chain: 8-15 business days depending on the destination embassy queue in Bangkok.
- Do you offer English-language service?
- Yes — all our Notarial Services Attorneys are bilingual (Thai/English) and we also cover Chinese, Japanese and Korean. Certified translations in 30+ languages.
- Can I use your service from outside Thailand?
- Absolutely. We handle end-to-end via international courier (DHL/FedEx). You mail us the documents, we run the chain, and ship back to any address worldwide.
