Q1016. Can I use a standard international fingerprint card like the FBI FD-258 form for a Thai police check?

Answered by NYC Visa & Translation
An FBI FD-258 card should be used for a Thai police check only if the Royal Thai Police confirms that it is acceptable for your application route. A standard international format is not automatically interchangeable with the fingerprint form requested by the Thai authorities. Before booking fingerprinting, ask the Police Clearance Service Center which form, number of sets, identification details, and certifying officer information are required. If applying from abroad, also confirm which local police stations or authorized fingerprint providers they accept. Have the technician check that every required impression is clear and that your name matches your passport. Do not send the only original set until you have verified the submission instructions and retained copies for reference.
