Q1029. What are the specific submission requirements for a Thai police check for a US immigration (USCIS/NVC) file?

For a US immigrant visa processed through NVC, follow the Department of State’s Thailand reciprocity schedule and your case instructions; USCIS filings do not all require the same police certificate. First determine whether you are completing consular processing or a USCIS procedure, such as adjustment of status, where routine police-certificate requirements differ. For NVC, obtain the Thai certificate described in the reciprocity schedule, upload a complete readable scan to CEAC when instructed, and retain the original for the interview. Follow the applicable translation rules; when a translation is required, it must include the translator’s certification of accuracy and competence. If you have a conviction, separate court and prison records may also be required. Check current embassy instructions rather than adding MFA legalization automatically.
