Q1170. Can applicants request multiple certified duplicate copies of their police clearance certificate in a single application?

Answered by NYC Visa & Translation
Multiple original police clearance certificates may be available, but you should confirm with the Royal Thai Police whether they can be requested within one application. Specify how many receiving authorities need a certificate and whether each requires its own original. An additional original issued by the police is different from a certified photocopy, and embassies may treat them differently. Ask the Police Clearance Service Center about additional-copy procedures, any separate applications, and current charges before submitting. Also check whether each certificate must identify a particular destination or purpose. If legalization is required, confirm whether every original and accompanying translation needs its own authentication rather than relying on one legalized set.
