A Thai Police Clearance Certificate may be submitted in support of an overseas sentencing request if that court’s rules permit it, but its relevance and weight are for the court to decide. Ask your lawyer in the country concerned whether the certificate is useful and what filing, translation, and authentication requirements apply. A clearance certificate is not a substitute for judgments, rehabilitation evidence, or records explaining a previous conviction. Obtain a certificate that accurately reflects your identity and the relevant purpose, without assuming that a visa-addressed version will suffice.
