Q1184. Do foreign nationals holding a Thai Smart Visa benefit from expedited or streamlined police check procedures?

Answered by NYC Visa & Translation
Holding a Thai Smart Visa should not be assumed to provide priority processing or a simplified police-clearance application. Smart Visa immigration privileges do not, by themselves, establish an exemption from Royal Thai Police identity, fingerprint, or supporting-document requirements. Request the current checklist from the Police Clearance Service Center and explain your visa category and reason for needing the certificate. Prepare evidence of your Thai residence and immigration history where requested, including relevant previous passports if your identity records span multiple documents. If an employer or agent advertises a Smart Visa fast track, ask for the official policy supporting it before paying for a purported priority service.
