Q1189. Do foreign nationals who ran private registered businesses in Thailand need to supply corporate tax clearance filings?

Operating a registered business in Thailand does not automatically make corporate tax-clearance filings a requirement for an individual police certificate. A criminal-record check concerns the applicant, whereas company tax compliance is a separate matter. Ask the Royal Thai Police Police Clearance Service Center which documents are needed to establish your identity, former residence, and business or employment history. Company registration records, work permits, or other supporting evidence should be supplied only as required for your circumstances. If a checklist mentions tax clearance, establish whether it belongs to the police application or a separate immigration or business procedure. Confirm any actual tax-document requirement with the Thai Revenue Department.
