Q1216. What documents do I need for a Singapore PR police clearance?

For Singapore permanent residence, you need a Thai police clearance only if the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority specifically requests one for your application. Do not assume that a police certificate is part of every standard PR submission. If ICA requests it, retain the request letter or message and use it to establish the purpose when applying through the Royal Thai Police. Prepare your passport, relevant Thai identity or residence records, name-change documents, and any required fingerprints or photographs. Confirm the current Thai checklist for your nationality and whether you are applying from abroad. For submission to ICA, check its translation rules and upload instructions, including whether the original and translated pages must be combined. Legalization should be arranged only when required.
