US Treaty of Amity certification
The 1966 Treaty of Amity and Economic Relations between Thailand and the United States allows US-owned businesses to operate more broadly than the general Foreign Business Act framework, subject to carved-out sectors. Legal basis
Foreign Business Act B.E. 2542 (1999), which sets out Lists 1, 2 and 3 and requires a licence or certificate before a business with foreign shareholding of one half or more may operate a restricted activity. Read with the 1966 Treaty of Amity and Economic Relations between Thailand and the United States.
