NAATI Translation — Thai Marriage Certificate (Kor Ror 2/3)
Kor Ror 2 is the marriage register and Kor Ror 3 is the marriage certificate. They are different records, so do not assume that every application requires both. The recipient’s checklist determines whether it needs evidence of registration alone or details and annotations from the register. Marriage documentation does not replace other relationship evidence requested for an application. The translation preserves names, dates and the wording of registry notes without adding an interpretation of the couple’s property rights.

Illustrative document preparation; not actual client records.
What should you prepare for this document?
- Send the Kor Ror 2 or 3 record you hold and the recipient’s checklist.
- Include continuation pages and annotations, not only the spouses’ names.
- Check former and married names against passport and name-history evidence.
What should not be guessed or changed?
Do not assume Home Affairs always requires both records or that translation determines a property regime. Confirm the scope with the recipient and registry status with the registrar where needed.
Verify the receiving body’s requirements
Content reviewed 8 October 2026. Check the recipient’s current requirements before filing; translation does not guarantee an application outcome.
From source files to a checked translation
- Send clear complete files and the recipient’s checklist.
- Confirm the scope, names and unclear entries.
- Agree the quote, delivery date, format and payment conditions.
- Check delivered names, numbers and dates against the source.
- Verify the translator and language direction in NAATI Directory before filing.
Frequently asked questions
Must Kor Ror 2 and Kor Ror 3 always be translated together?
There is no single rule for all recipients. Check the checklist or request for further information. Kor Ror 3 may not replace details specifically requested from Kor Ror 2.
How is the fee assessed?
Send complete readable files and the recipient’s request. Confirm scope, page count, format, payment conditions and quote before work starts.
When can I receive the translation?
Timing depends on the scope and translator availability. Agree the proposed date before work starts; shipping and recipient processing are separate.
PDF or printed translation?
Ask the recipient which format it requires. Agree delivery before work starts. A translated PDF does not itself certify the original copy.
Is acceptance guaranteed?
No. The recipient assesses documents under its own requirements. Verify the translator and language direction in the official NAATI directory; translation does not guarantee a visa or registration outcome.
Which application can use this document?
Follow the actual recipient’s checklist. A document title does not establish that it meets every visa or application requirement.
