Answered by the NYC Visa & Translation certified translation team

Cross-border e-commerce business registration translations support sellers and platforms entering Thailand, and the document set follows the registration route chosen. The registration routes and their documents: a Thai company (the standard route — the corporate documents: the parent company's certificate and articles, legalised and translated for the DBD registration; the directors' and shareholders' identity documents; the registered address evidence), a foreign business operating in Thailand (the Foreign Business Licence where the activity is restricted under the Foreign Business Act — the application with the business plan and the financial documents), or the platform route (selling through marketplaces with a local entity or agent arrangement, which shifts but does not eliminate the document needs). The e-commerce-specific layers: the DBD's e-commerce registration expectations, the tax registration (the VAT registration when the thresholds are met — and the e-service VAT regime for foreign electronic service providers, which has its own registration), the consumer protection compliance (the OCPB's requirements for online sellers), and the PDPA compliance for the customer data. What gets translated: the corporate documents (the legalisation chain, then the Thai translation certified by the MFA — 200/quoted on request per stamp), the financial documents for the FBL or the bank account, the product documentation where regulated goods are sold (the FDA registrations for cosmetics, food, supplements, medical devices — each with its own document set), and the platform's own verification documents. Points that matter: the structure choice (Thai company versus FBL versus platform route) changes the whole document set — decide it with the adviser before commissioning translations; and the regulated-product registrations are often the longest pole. Practice points: confirm the current DBD and Revenue Department requirements before starting.
