What is the difference between a Non-B and a Non-O Thai visa?

A Non-Immigrant B visa is issued for employment or business in Thailand and is the visa a work permit is built on. A Non-Immigrant O visa covers other purposes: supporting a Thai spouse or child, dependants, and retirement (O-A and O-X are separate sub-types with their own insurance rules). Holders of a Non-O based on Thai marriage may still obtain a work permit if a qualifying employer sponsors them. Check current categories at immigration.go.th. Confirm current requirements with the embassy or official portal before filing.

A few missions retain limited in-person channels for special cases.
