A foreigner legally married to a Thai national can apply for a Non-Immigrant O visa and annual extension on the marriage basis. The financial evidence is either funds in a Thai bank account at the current official threshold (commonly referenced as 400,000 THB, seasoned for the required period) or proof of monthly income at the current official threshold. Supporting documents include the marriage registration (Kor Ror 2/3), the Thai spouse's house registration and ID card, family photos, and sometimes a home visit by officers. If you married abroad, the marriage must first be registered in Thailand. Extensions are renewed yearly at Thai Immigration with the same financial evidence refreshed.
