Notarized CV / Resume Certification in Thailand

A CV is self-written, so a notary can only certify that its owner signed a declaration in person. It does not verify the work history or qualifications. Most recipients do not ask for a notarised CV; check whether they want employer letters and certified degree copies instead.

Certification scope and key checks

Add a closing declaration that the information is true to the signer's knowledge.

Employer letters and separately certified qualification copies carry more weight.

Leave out anything you cannot support; the signer is responsible for the declaration.

Documents to prepare

  • Final dated CV
  • ID card or passport
  • Recipient requirements, if any

Procedure for this document

  1. Confirm the recipient asks for a notarised CV
  2. Add a declaration and signature block
  3. Sign before a notary
  4. Further certification only if the recipient requires it

Overseas use: confirm the recipient’s route

Notarization is not required for every public record, and some uses need no onward legalisation. Confirm whether the recipient needs an original, copy, translation or specific certification before arranging MFA and embassy steps where applicable.

Thailand deposited its accession on 30 June 2026. The Apostille Convention is scheduled to enter into force for Thailand on 28 February 2027. Do not assume Thai Apostilles are available before then. Even after entry into force, document scope and treaty relations with the destination must be checked.

Questions before booking

Does the notary verify my experience?
No; only the signer and the signing.
Must it be translated?
If the recipient uses another language, attach a certified translation.
Can it replace an employment letter?
No; that must come from the employer.
Are MFA and embassy legalisation always needed?
No. Ask the recipient to confirm the certification, language and onward steps. Notarization, translation and legalisation are distinct; do not perform every step automatically.
How are fees and timing assessed?
After reviewing the form, copies, signers, language and onward steps, we provide a quote and indicative schedule before work. Authority queues and outcomes are not guaranteed.
What should I send before booking?
Send the record type, destination country, receiving authority and its checklist through a direct contact channel. Redact personal information unnecessary for the initial enquiry.
