NAATI Translation — Thai Payslip for Australia
A payslip records earnings and deductions for an employer-issued pay period. NAATI translation for Australia distinguishes gross pay, net pay and any stated cumulative figures without converting the record into an Australian PAYG tax document. Send the periods requested, confirm pages and quote, check figures and dates, then receive the agreed format. Verify the translator in NAATI Directory. Timing depends on file scope; there is no universal number of months for every application.

What should you prepare for this document?
- Send complete slips with legible employee names and pay dates.
- Distinguish current-period and cumulative figures, gross and net pay.
- Use the requested periods rather than select a bundle size as an evidence rule.
What may lead to a request for replacement documents?
- Confusing net, gross and cumulative amounts.
- Missing requested periods or cropped employee details.
- Automatically relabelling Thai deductions as PAYG or superannuation.
These are preparation checks, not universal rejection rules. The recipient determines the evidence required.
What should not be guessed or changed?
Thai social security and provident fund entries should not be relabelled as Australian schemes or merged so that meanings are lost.

Frequently asked questions
How many payslips are needed, and are they PAYG records?
The recipient sets the evidence period. Check its request before selecting slips. Translation does not turn a Thai payslip into an Australian PAYG or tax record. If payment evidence is also requested, supply the specified bank documents separately. Multiple translated slips do not establish that income meets a threshold or that all evidence requirements are satisfied.
How do cumulative amounts differ from net pay?
Read the field heading and period shown on the slip. A cumulative amount may cover several pay periods, while net pay is the amount after deductions for the stated period. Translation preserves that distinction; it should not treat cumulative totals as one month’s income or calculate missing figures.
Can another record replace a missing payslip?
The recipient decides which substitutes are acceptable. If particular periods are requested, obtain the employer’s records or ask the recipient about alternatives. A translator cannot recreate a missing slip or estimate its figures from adjacent periods merely to make an evidence sequence appear complete.
Can I redact the employee number before translation?
Confirm scope with the recipient and translator first. Removing details used to identify the employee may leave the required evidence incomplete. Transfer documents through the agreed channel rather than post them publicly. Translation cannot recover redacted or illegible entries, and privacy choices should not be mistaken for evidence acceptance.
Does a bilingual payslip need every field translated?
Ask the recipient whether the existing English is sufficient. Some slips have English headings but Thai annotations or deduction descriptions. Provide a complete sample to establish the required scope. The presence of a few English words alone does not establish that the document needs either full translation or none.
How is a group of payslips quoted?
Send all periods requested so the page count, repeated layout and entries can be reviewed. Agree a quotation and delivery date after file review; no fixed bundle discount is promised. The initial enquiry is free. Check pay periods and figures in the delivered translation before submitting it to the recipient.
