Q1045. How long is UK Skilled Worker visa valid?

Answered by the NYC Visa & Translation team
A UK Skilled Worker visa can be granted for up to five years, but your actual permission depends on your sponsored employment and the details of your application. Check the dates on your immigration permission rather than assuming every grant lasts the maximum period. Your Certificate of Sponsorship, job details, and eligibility evidence should align, including any required English-language evidence or certified translations. Changing employer or moving to a different job may require an updated application rather than simply using the remaining visa validity. Extensions may be possible if you continue to qualify. Confirm the current rules with UK Visas and Immigration, particularly before changing employment or planning beyond your permission’s expiry date.
