Answered by the NYC Visa & Translation team

The DTV is a visa for people wanting a long-stay, part-tourism part-work arrangement in Thailand, issued to main groups: (1) remote workers, digital nomads, and freelancers working for overseas employers or clients (2) people undertaking specified activities such as Muay Thai training, Thai cooking courses, sports training, long-term medical treatment, or attending festivals/seminars (3) spouses and children accompanying a DTV holder. It is a multiple-entry visa with a defined stay per entry, extendable under Immigration conditions. Watch out: the DTV does not permit working for Thai employers, financial evidence must meet the embassy's thresholds, and detailed requirements vary between embassies. Our team checks which group you fit, prepares the financial and activity evidence to match the embassy where you apply. This is general guidance; requirements and fees change — always verify with the embassy, Thai Immigration, the Department of Provincial Administration, or the Ministry of Interior before proceeding.
