Q1385. What is Thailand's student visa (Non-ED) and who can apply?

The Non-Immigrant ED visa is for people coming to study at recognized Thai educational institutions, covering: (1) school, university, and postgraduate students (2) learners in Thai language or specialized courses at licensed institutions (3) exchange students and certain interns. Core conditions: you must be accepted by the institution first, the institution issues enrollment certification in the form Immigration and embassies require, and you must show financial evidence. Watch out: the ED visa does not permit work, and holders must do 90-day reporting and maintain genuine student status.
