Q1044. What is the official government fee charged by the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs for issuing an Apostille stamp?

Answered by the NYC Visa & Translation legalization desk
Any government charge for a Thai Apostille must be checked against an officially available Apostille service and its current fee schedule. An ordinary MFA legalization fee should not be presented as an Apostille fee, and an agency’s quotation is not an official government tariff. First confirm with the Department of Consular Affairs whether Apostille issuance is currently available for your document and destination. Then consult its latest published charges and distinguish the government component from translation, representation, courier, or other private service costs. A common pitfall is paying for a package labeled “Apostille” without confirming what certificate will actually be issued. Verify service availability and the latest official fee before filing.
