Q1193. Can an agency manage the complete sequential Apostille legalization workflow for a Thai police document?

Answered by NYC Visa & Translation
An agency can coordinate document handling, but an Apostille workflow is appropriate only if that authentication route applies to Thailand and the destination country at the time of submission. Do not assume that every Thai police certificate can receive an Apostille or that an agency can issue one itself. Confirm the current route with Thailand’s Department of Consular Affairs and the destination embassy, including whether the Apostille Convention is in force between the relevant countries. If consular legalization is required instead, obtain that specific sequence. Have the agency explain translation order, original-document requirements, authorization, and return arrangements in writing. Authentication does not establish eligibility for a visa.
