What a registered address means under Thai law
The registered address, or head office, is the address printed on the company affidavit. Courts, the Revenue Department and the Department of Business Development all serve notices there, so it is a legal service point rather than a cosmetic detail.
A compliant virtual office is not the purchase of an address. It is a genuine occupancy right supported by a service agreement, a landlord consent letter, a company signboard and physical space that officials can inspect.

- Yes, when the company holds a genuine right of occupancy evidenced by a service agreement and consent letter, displays a signboard and can receive officials on site. Declaring an address the company has no right to use is what breaches the rules.
- Can I change the registered address later?
- Yes, by filing an amendment with the DBD and, if VAT registered, form Por Por 09 with the Revenue Department, plus notifications to your bank and counterparties.
