Questions (12)
- Q1256. Is a NAATI e-stamp PDF accepted for ImmiAccount uploads without a hard copy?
A PDF translation bearing a NAATI translator’s digital stamp can generally be uploaded to ImmiAccount without posting a hard copy, unless Home Affairs specifically requests one. Upload both the Thai source document and its English translation, following the document category and file requirements shown in your account. Check that the translation is complete, legible and includes the translator’s identifying and credential details; you can verify the practitioner through NAATI’s verification tools. Avoid screenshots that crop the stamp or omit pages, and retain the original document and the delivered PDF. A digital stamp does not override requirements for particular evidence, so confirm current instructions with the Department of Home Affairs and check any document request issued for your application.
- Q1317. Do you courier hard copies to all Australian states?
Yes, including Tasmania, the Northern Territory and the ACT. Transit to major cities is typically three to five business days from dispatch, with one to two additional days for regional destinations. A tracking number is provided for every shipment.
- Q1352. Can hard copies be posted to an Australian address?
Yes, by international post or a private courier of your choice; transit time depends on the carrier and destination. Choose a tracked service, and use the e-stamped PDF for online lodgement while the parcel is in transit so no deadline depends on the post.
- Q1353. How are additional certified hard copies charged?
Additional sets are charged as reissued copies of completed work, which is lower than the first translation fee because the text is already certified. Ordering all sets at the same time is cheaper and they are produced in one run.
- Q1374. I lost my file. Can you resend the original translation?
Yes, within our retention period, on confirmation of the orderer's name, order date and document type. The reissued file carries the original date because it is the same certified work; a new issue date would constitute a fresh certification.
- Q1433. What scan quality avoids a re-send?
A flat, square PDF at around 300 dpi. Avoid skewed images, hand shadows and heavy compression that blurs digits. If using a phone, place the document on a flat surface and shoot straight down.
- Q1434. How are wet-ink copies delivered?
By registered post or courier. Bangkok and surrounding provinces usually receive them within one to two business days and other provinces within two to three; international delivery depends on the carrier. Delivery is charged separately.
- Q1443. How long does delivery to Australia take?
Generally three to five business days by international express to capital cities and five to seven to regional addresses. Shipping is charged separately from translation. We issue tracking on dispatch and recommend lodging with the PDF first, since most authorities accept electronic files.
- Q1444. Are NAATI translations accepted in New Zealand?
Immigration New Zealand accepts translations from identifiable professional translators, and a NAATI-sealed translation carrying a verifiable practitioner number meets that description. Individual agencies and universities set their own rules, so confirm with the receiving body before lodging.
- Q1445. Can I use a NAATI translation in Germany, France, Spain or Italy?
For official filings, no. Those jurisdictions require translators sworn before their own courts or ministries. A NAATI seal carries no statutory effect there. We will route your file to the correct sworn or consular pathway instead of selling you a translation that will be refused.
- Q1478. Should I take the PDF only or also a hard copy?
Online lodgement accepts PDFs. In-person appointments, bank account openings and some registry offices still ask for a sealed printed set. If in doubt, order both at the outset; adding a hard copy later costs more than including it.
- Q1493. What if the courier loses my documents?
Send us the tracking number. We pursue the carrier and reissue under the terms agreed at order. This is precisely why we release the PDF first, so a lodgement is never blocked while a printed set is in transit.
